You can become a member by purchasing at least one share in the Club. Share membership can only be held as an individual; there are no joint memberships. Shares are $10 each, and entitle the holder to one vote at Club shareholder meetings.
To maintain active membership of The UpFront Club, members are required to pay an annual subscription of $5.50 (including GST) for the year 1 July 2011 – 30 June 2012. Annual membership is due on 1 July each year.
You can redeem your share(s) at any time by applying in writing to the board of directors. The share value will be direct-debited to your nominated bank account or you can choose to donate it to the Club.
Prospective members are welcome to view the following at
the Maple Street Co-op office during business hours:
• the legislation under which the Club operates –
Co-operatives Act 1997, Regulations and the Club Rules
• the Share Register and Directors’ Register
• information about any loans the Club may hold
• copy of the last Annual Report under Sec. 242 of the Co-operatives Act 1997
• a copy of special resolutions passed by Club members and applying to members
• a copy of the 7 Co-operative Principles we operate by

Apply for membership by completing the application form and paying the Club your share application fees. Forms are avaiable at the Club or to
download here. Once your membership has been approved by the board, your share certificate(s) will be forwarded to you.
